This call is part of a Consensus Statement on Climate Change, launched by 22 national academies and societies of science. It marks the first time Commonwealth nations have come together in this way, urging governments to reaffirm their commitment to the Paris climate agreement and to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions during the second half of the century.
